Each of us have many spirit guides of several types that serve different aspects of our spiritual growth and life. We have animal totems, interdimensional guides and guardian Angelic forces with us as well as non corporeal Spirit Guides.
Your spirit guides have been with you throughout successive incarnations and will continue their role as they are needed. When you have completed your work in one area they can move on and a new guide will be added to your system. They are usually closer during sleeping hours and further during the day but nearby when you call.
You can speak to your Spirit Guides whenever you want. Your spirit guides are part of you and are “in” your auric/energy field so it’s not really possible for you to do anything that they aren’t aware about. As such, whenever you address your guides explicitly, be it within your mind or talking aloud, they will be listening.
Further, it my be possible for them to acknowledge you, and answer back, either immediately or at some point in the future, depending on how well you can hear and acknowledge your own intuitive thought, what you are prepared to hear, and the nature of the question.
The interaction may take place through intuition or by utilizing some form of external sign (synchronicity). So this could be, for example, passing by strangers and randomly listening to a seemingly unrelated conversation that just so happens to apply to your inquiry; by something happening that has some form of meaning to you (butterflies crossing your path, etc.); by seeing someone you haven’t spoken to in some time and so on.
No human being is ever left without a Spirit Guide. Their role is to both protect you and help you. Your spirit provides most of the guidance in your life, from prompting you to attend to daily tasks and self-care to alerting you to opportunities that will help you meet your goals and help them (and thus you) to learn the lessons they are here for.
In addition to their spirit, everyone has a Guardian. They are usually not a constant presence but are alerted in times of need or celebration. They are also near at turning points in your life. They know more about events that are pre-destined (which is not guaranteed) and will attempt to guide you to and through them. They also might be aware of other specific opportunities and will attempt to compel you to seek them out.
Other spirits will sometimes be close, but their influence is somewhat limited. What they usually do is observe you and the circumstances of your life and then make suggestions to your spirit and/or guardian, who are better equipped to influence you.
Whether it is your spirit or your guardian they cannot take over and act for you which is why it is to your advantage to consciously cultivate a relationship with your spirit. This can be done through the regular practice of meditation, prayer, and reflection.
Not everyone has personal Spirit Guides. Advanced souls who are Guides on Earth themselves do not have Guides – they only communicate with Higher Self or Angels and Enlighted Energy Beings. Extraterrestrials or Star Seeds incarnated on Earth also do not have Earthly Spirit Guides – only their own Star Race Council, Higher Self, and Energy Beings. Personal Guides are Teachers – you only need them if you are a student. Those in the later stages of Kundalini Awakening shed their guides as they are being purified and have self guidance.
You can communicate with your guides through meditation, dreams, hypnosis or whenever you are in an altered state. Psychics and mediums can communicate with them while fully awake.
