Low Country Lemon & Salt for Warding off Ghosts

Many folks contact me asking what the best solution is for warding off and preventing ghosts from entering and staying in a home.

To me the answer is simple! For organic ghost remedies I always call upon my Southern relatives to create a simple and effective blend of saltwater/lemon spray to set those ghosts on their way and to clear and stabilize the home. To make a “lemon water salt” mixture for warding off ghosts, simply squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a glass of water, add a pinch of salt and stir well. My belief is that the combination of the cleansing properties of salt and the purifying energy of lemon can help dispel negative energies, including those associated with ghosts. I have seen this Low Country Recipe work since I began to help people in hauntings when I was sixteen and in my sophomore year of high school.

Ingredients:

1 glass of water

Juice of half a lemon

A pinch of Sea Salt ( you can use more if you like)

A dash of course pepper

How to use:

Mix the ingredients thoroughly in a glass.

You can either drink this mixture or use it to cleanse a space by spraying it in corners or around doorways. You can cleanse monthly but don’t cleanse too much as you need to let the home’s energies settle down after each clearing.

Belief system:

This practice is rooted in spiritual beliefs and may not have scientific evidence to support its effectiveness against ghosts. This solution has been passed down from my Uncle who lived a lot of his life in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. A lot of supernatural lore down there. My Uncle Ray had experienced similar things as I did when it came to the unseen but he was an outdoorsman and always sought to use the Earth for a lot of his problems.

Intention is key
When preparing this mixture, focus your intention on cleansing the space and warding off negative energies. If you are spraying this solution start from the middle of the room and work your way outward just like the movements of the ocean-letting the tide go out and receiving it when it comes in. I suggest that another good intention is setting boundaries and claiming your home back. Always focus what’s in your heart here.
